Philadelphia, PA (July 6, 2012) — The Merry Confectionery is offering baking classes for children from 8 to 14 years old this summer break. Enrollment for two-and-a-half week courses, starting on July 23 and August 6 respectively, is ongoing.
Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with morning (from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon (from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM) sessions. The classes for the first batch will run from July 23 to August 1 and the second set will be from August 6 to 22.
Each class will focus on teaching children how to make a pre-mix cake and will also cover baking simple breads and pastries. Students will learn about different flavors, textures, and more about baking a Philadelphia cake, including how to hone kitchen skills like whipping and kneading.
